Welcome!

Inspired by the Prayer Journal from our 48 hours of prayer (January 5-7, 2007) we have established this site as an opportunity for you to continue your thoughts and prayers. We are in the process of publishing the Prayer Journal on this site as well. So pray without ceasing.

Excellent idea to make this blog. Many of the comments in the journal were excellent. Hopefully there will be many comments here that will show the effect of teh 48 hours of prayer.

Lord, be with all those in our church family who are suffering the loss of loved ones. Be with Tom today as he buries his sister.

I pray that all the people of our church can do a better job of remembering those who no longer attend with us and try to get them to return. Many of them just faded away and nobody called or tried to talk to them. Please help us Father to remember those people and to reach out to them. In your holy son's name I pray.

God of all Creation -
I pray that you will bless this ministry of prayer. May your grace and mercy be experienced by all. May we see your glory in our lives today. Answer our prayers O Lord, not my will, but your will be done. You are the potter, we are the clay, mold us into the image of Jesus.

Lord, may I live for you today. Help me to stay focused and to remember that I am your child. Whatever happens today help me to conduct myself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Amen.

Lord make me
an instrument of your peace

Where there is hatred,
Let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, Joy.

O Divine Master grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled
As to console;
To be understood,
As to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are
Born to eternal life.

Amen

[my prayer in the words of St. Francis]

Lord, thank you for this wonderful family to share the journey with! So many with pure, servant hearts. Show us how we can serve you and how best to do it. Give us eyes to see needs and the strength to respond with love and generosity.

Lord,

Thank you so much for the Griewe's and their love for the Turkish people. You have empowered them to service and they bring many blessings to the people they serve. Please protect them from the evil one and rain down your love upon them. May they continue to bless you and serve you well.

Be with the girls: Maddie, Ella, and Cora as they all fight constant colds.
Amen.

St. Francis of Assisi's prayer in praise of God given to Brother Leo:

You are holy, Lord, the only God,
and Your deeds are wonderful.
You are strong.
You are great.
You are the Most High.
You are Almighty.
You, Holy Father are King of heaven and earth.
You are Three and One, Lord God, all Good.
You are Good, all Good, supreme Good,
Lord God, living and true.
You are love. You are wisdom.
You are humility. You are endurance.
You are rest. You are peace.
You are joy and gladness.
You are justice and moderation.
You are all our riches, and You suffice for us.
You are beauty.
You are gentleness.
You are our protector.
You are our guardian and defender.
You are our courage. You are our haven and our hope.
You are our faith, our great consolation.
You are our eternal life, Great and Wonderful Lord,
God Almighty, Merciful Saviour.

Lord, there are people in our church family struggling with addictions: pornography, alcohol, tobacco, and others. Father, help them to see you as a way of release and freedom. Give them the courage to step out in faith to trust you. Help whole and healthy people to be near them to strengthen and encourage.
